Living with the ring
What tinnitus actually is, why it happens, how it affects daily life, and the management approaches that have evidence behind them.
Community and events
Not everyone is ready to book an appointment, and that is completely reasonable. Our open days and education evenings exist so people can meet the team, see the treatments up close, and get straight answers with no appointment and no pressure.
What is on
Held at our Sunshine Coast centre at 177 Brisbane Road, Mooloolaba.

Drop in any time between 10am and 2pm. Meet our audiologists, see how Neuromonics and Lenire actually work, and talk through what a program involves. Bring a partner or a family member, tinnitus affects households as much as individuals.

A clinical session for GPs, practice nurses, audiologists, psychologists and allied health colleagues. Current evidence in tinnitus management, when to refer, and what a structured program looks like from the patient side. Available in person and online.
Tinnitus Relief Australia is not an RACGP accredited CPD provider. Attendance certificates are provided so participants can self record CPD hours where their college framework allows.
Why we do this
The pattern is remarkably consistent. Tinnitus starts, someone says it is nothing to worry about, and five or ten years pass before the person mentions it again to a clinician who does something about it.
By that point sleep is broken, concentration has gone, and the anxiety around the sound is often doing more damage than the sound itself.
Open days and education evenings shorten that gap. Some people who come along book an assessment. Plenty do not, and simply leave knowing that tinnitus is real, explainable and treatable. Both of those are good outcomes.

Our Mooloolaba centre opened in 2026, bringing specialist tinnitus assessment and treatment to the Sunshine Coast rather than asking patients to travel to Brisbane for it.
It is a full clinical site: comprehensive assessment, Neuromonics, Lenire, TRT and CBT, with the same team and the same protocols as the rest of the network.

None. Plenty of people come along, ask questions and leave. Understanding that tinnitus is real, explainable and treatable is a good outcome on its own.
Please do. Tinnitus affects households, not just individuals, and the people around you often have questions of their own.
