Questions about getting started

How quickly will I hear back?

We usually respond within one business day. If you would rather not wait, the phone is faster.

Do I need a referral to book?

No. You can book a consultation directly. If you are a DVA client with service related tinnitus, tell us and our team will handle the approvals and funding.

What happens at the first appointment?

A comprehensive tinnitus assessment: validated severity scoring, sound tolerance screening and a full history, so we understand what is driving your tinnitus and how it is affecting you. If you can attend our Sunshine Coast clinic we complete diagnostic hearing testing at the same appointment. If not, we arrange it with a clinic closer to you. You leave with a written plan whether or not you decide to proceed.

What does it cost?

It depends on the pathway, and we give you the full cost in writing after assessment, before you commit to anything. There is no obligation to proceed.

Can I bring someone with me?

Yes, and we encourage it. A partner or family member often notices things you have stopped noticing, and it helps them understand what you are dealing with.
